At a first glance, The Sims Carnival SnapCity looked like SimCity for tots. When I started the game, I saw a floating piece. I didn’t know what that was about and then realized that it was going to be pulled by gravity and land somewhere. If I held the left button of the mouse, the piece would move faster. This went on for other pieces. Pretty soon, I became bored to pieces, stopped playing, and quickly uninstalled the game. All in all, The Sims Carnival SnapCity is a waste of time.

If you like tetris and sim city most likely you will enjoy this game. It is a bit easy for an adult, however I think it would be great for kids. Plus you really can’t beat the price. The problem is that there isn’t really anything to do once you beat the game, which doesn’t take very long. The free play is a bit boring. If the game sounds interesting to you, you can try it at shockwave or yahoo games for an hour for free before you decide to buy it.

The Sims Carnival SnapCity
The game is simaler to sim city but seems to be much more simple and also combines the city planning with tetris like aspects (the zones fall in tetris like blocks) in sc4 you can still cause disasters but they are much easier to fix after word

Although the game was fun, it was way too easy. I went through the 25 levels at the first sitting. All there is to do then is to start over. The creative play part of the game gets boring fast. This would be a good game for elementary age children.

Although I am not quite sure what I was expecting when I first played this game, I know that I was not expecting to play it as long as I did. It turned out to be addictive, fun, and challenging, which were all pleasant surprises.

Snapcity is a tetris style game where there is grid of different color building zones that you need to fill with different sizes and shapes. A very basic concept that kept me entertained and interested for a couple of hours before I had realized how much time had gone by.

If you are looking for some casual gaming that is not too involved, this is a nice game to play. Do not have any high hopes that this is anything like SimCity or the Sims game (as the game Sims Carnival might imply) because it is not. This is a whole other kind of game that is simpler and less challenging but still amusing in it’s own right.

Give it a try.
